Green Dye In Winona Lake Brings With It No Negative Impact, City Says
WARSAW – The city of Warsaw is reassuring residents along Winona Lake not to worry about a green substance released into the lake Thursday, Feb. 27.
On Thursday, the city’s Wastewater Treatment Utility maintenance crew conducted routine dye testing near Rabb Water Systems at East Jefferson Street and Argonne Road.
Some of the green dye discharged into the north side of Winona Lake and initially concerned some residents in the area, the city said in a news release.
The green dye is biodegradable and has no negative impact on the water quality or wildlife of Winona Lake, the city said.
Residents with questions can contact the City stormwater utility at (574) 372-9562.
