Triton Jr./Sr. HS To Host 5K Run ‘To End Human Trafficking’

BOURBON — The Time is Now, an anti-human trafficking group, hosts its first Run to End Human Trafficking 5K/10K at 9 a.m., Saturday, Apr. 11.
Both runs will start at Triton Jr. Sr. High School, 300 Triton Drive, Bourbon. The path of both races will run through Bourbon and a segment of the surrounding countryside said a news release promoting the event.
All proceeds benefit education and awareness of human trafficking and its survivors.
The 10K starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. the registration fee is $35. The top man and woman will receive a trophy.
The 5K starts at 9:30 and ends at 11 a.m. The registration fee is $20. Awards will be given to the first, second and third place winners in each age category.
Age groups for the races are: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 and up.

The event also includes a kids mile run. Prizes will be awarded for the first boy and girl that finish the run.
50/50 prizes will be given out throughout the event. Prizes include gym shoe gift certificates and Lego for the kids.
