Ribbons Remember Knisley And Thornburg On Five-Year Anniversary

Blue ribbons were hung along SR 13 in Syracuse in memory of the five year anniversaries of Josh Knisley and Tara Thornburg.
SYRACUSE — This week will be the five year heavenly anniversaries of Josh Knisley and Tara Thornburg. Knisley’s anniversary is Wednesday, Feb. 19, and Thornburg’s is Thursday, Feb. 20.
The Saturday before, Rhonda Bickel, Knisley’s mother, and family and friends placed ribbons all down State Road 13 through Syracuse in memory of Knisley and Thornburg.
Bickel shared, “We hope that as you drive through Syracuse and see these ribbons, you will think of them. By that I mean, that when you see them, please do not think about their deaths. Instead, remember that they lived. Think of their beautiful faces, their electrifying smiles, their beautiful souls and their huge hearts. Or remember the last time you spoke to them. Do not let these ribbons make you sad, but instead we hope that they put a smile on your face in remembrance of them — our angels.”
She would also like to thank everyone who has placed ribbons at their homes, businesses and on trees and lamp posts throughout the entire community.
“The love and support this community has shown to Josh, Tara and our families means more to us than you could ever begin to know. To say thank you is simply not enough,” Bickel stated. “We are so blessed to live in such a loving and caring community. I am sure Josh and Tara have felt the love from all of you.”
