Tealie Goble
Tealie Goble, 81, of Pierceton went home to be with Jesus after a courageous battle with cancer, Monday, Feb. 17, 2020, while surrounded by family. Tealie was born March 9, 1938, in Prestonsburg, Ky. to Boone and Maggie Liew (Pitts) Salmons.
After marrying Ray Reffitt, they moved to the Kosciusko County area, she eventually went to work for Kimble Glass retiring after 34 years. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casino, working in the yard and attended Harvest Community Church in Pierceton. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family.
She is survived by her children, Jeannene Oliver of Pierceton, Kevin Reffitt of Syracuse, six grandchildren, Alisha, Joey, Alena, Jonna, Jenny and Brett; eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Herman (Jane) Salmons of Ohio, Raymond (Carol) Salmons of Kentucky and a sister Mary Nancy Ousley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Keith Reffitt, five siblings and a son in law Ron Oliver.
A funeral service celebrating Tealie’s life will be at 1 p.m., Thursday Feb. 20, at Harvest Community Church, 512 S. 7th Street, Pierceton 46562; Pastors Glen Hall and Terry Bradford will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Pierceton.
Visitation for Tealie will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19, and one hour prior to the service at Harvest Community Church.
Memorial donations in Tealie’s honor may be given to Harvest Community Church.
