Story Emporium Coming Soon To Warsaw Community Public Library
By Merri Bottorff
Friends of the Warsaw Community Public Library President
Story Emporium, a new used bookstore which will open next month in the library, is sponsored and managed by the Friends of the Warsaw Community Public Library and Friends volunteers.
The bookstore provides an array of quality used books of all genres, music CDs, DVDs and other materials at affordable prices. FOL is eager to raise community awareness in a clean, friendly, organized, engaging environment that is welcoming and encourages reading, listening, gathering and sharing, while selecting favorite items to purchase.
FOL is a nonprofit corporation that supports the library through advocacy, philanthropy and volunteerism. Monies from book sales and membership dues provide financial support for appointed purchases and programs used to enhance the library experience for patrons.
Officially opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m Tuesday, March 3, Story Emporium will be open approximately eight days a month with varying days and hours. Bookmarks are available with the information. Each month the days and hours will be posted on a sign outside the bookstore’s door. A brightly colored awning identifies the bookstore.
Any current specials or promotions will be posted on the WCPL and Friends Facebook page. Story Emporium does not accept donations, however, the library will accept clean, gently-used books that may be processed into the bookstore inventory. The FOL looks forward to seeing visitors in the bookstore and genuinely thanks the community for promoting and supporting the Warsaw Community Public Library. FOL membership is always encouraged as a way to be involved in our community.
