Anonymous Donors Establish Fund To Support Addiction, Recovery Services
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Community Foundation recently announced the creation of the Kosciusko County Addiction and Recovery Fund.
Established by generous anonymous donors, the Kosciusko County Addiction and Recovery Fund will provide support for programs and projects aimed at assisting individuals or families affected by drug or alcohol addiction. Grants from the fund will primarily focus on programs and projects that provide mentoring, training, education, transitional housing or wrap around services to recovering individuals or their families.
Drug and alcohol addiction are widespread issues affecting many individuals in the county, state and country. Often times, those affected by addiction do not have the financial means to seek the assistance they need for themselves and for their families. According to a press release, the Kosciusko County Addiction and Recovery Fund will provide grants directly to nonprofit organizations providing services for individuals and families affected by addiction, making them more affordable and accessible.
Local nonprofits seeking a grant from the Kosciusko County Addiction and Recovery Fund should apply through the Community Funds grant application process. Applications are due March 1, July 1 and Nov. 1 of each year. To learn more and apply for Community Funds grants, visit www.kcfoundation.org/grants.
