Silver Lake Man Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Two Minors

SILVER LAKE — A Silver Lake man was arrested and booked at the Kosciusko County Jail after allegedly molesting two minors.
Daniel S. Louvier, 37, 208 S. High St., Silver Lake, is charged with two counts of child molestation, both level 4 felonies.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 8, 2019, an incident of child molestation was reported to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
On Dec. 9, 2019, a caseworker from Child Protective Services contacted KCSO and said she had received complaints of child molestation allegedly committed by Louvier that involved fondling two juveniles.
A forensic interview was conducted by a DCS family case manager with one of the minors on Dec. 9, 2019. During the interview, that minor disclosed that Louvier touched her private areas on multiple occasions over the past year. The minor said the touching would happen when they were watching movies or TV together. The minor said Louvier would pull her closer to him or pull her onto his lap and place his hands inside her pants.
On Dec. 11, 2019, a forensic interview was conducted with the second minor. That minor said Louvier put his hand down her pants multiple times during the previous school year. The minor said she would be sitting on the couch watching TV and Louvier would pull her closer and put his hand inside her pants.
Louvier was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail Jan. 31 on a $151,000 surety and cash bond.
