WARSAW — Author Kim Gregory-Baney will host a book signing for her historical chronicle of the Warsaw Speedway.
For decades, Warsaw Speedway events were held on the dirt track at the Kosciusko County Fair Grounds until 1990.
The event will be 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, said a news release from “If Only Walls Could Talk” author Kim Gregory-Baney.
“If Only Walls Could Talk” was “a 25-year project that includes 498 pages, over 300 photos, historical information, race results and interesting articles,” said Gregory-Baney.
The book will be available for purchase for $30 with 20% of the proceeds going to the Tony Elliott Foundation. Copies of the book already purchased can be brought in for signing from both the author and any Warsaw Speedway drivers attending the event.
Warsaw Speedway race videos will be screened at the event. Memorabilia tables will be set up for fans and drivers to display any articles they’d like to share. David Hamrick, Warsaw Speedway photographer during 1989-90, will have his entire collection of Warsaw Speedway photos on display for viewing, said the news release.
The Warsaw Community Public Library is located at 310 E. Main St. in Warsaw. For more information, contact the library or Kim Baney at [email protected].
