Valley Girls Salvage Split With Pioneer
AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley celebrated one last time at home Thursday after beating Pioneer in girls swimming. The Panther boys would knock off the Vikings in the matchup on senior day.
TIPPECANOE VALLEY GIRLS 91, PIONEER 88
Elaina Dishon had her final senior moment for the Vikings, winning the 100 freestyle at 1:05.65. Among double winners for the Vikings were Jerzey Conley in the 200 free (2:28.23) and 500 free (6:41.16) and Olivia Livengood in the 50 free (28.93) and butterfly (1:08.86).
Makena Smith added a win in the breaststroke (1:21.40) and Shayleigh Honeycutt took the individual medley (2:38.80). Valley also claimed the medley relay at 2:14.21 and the 400 free relay at 4:23.44.
PIONEER BOYS 99, TIPPECANOE VALLEY 74
Mason Stephen enjoyed his senior treatment and put on a show, winning the 50 free (22.87), the breaststroke (1:06.09) and helping the medley relay to a 2:02.78 win as well as the 400 free relay to a 3:50.11 winner.
Karl Parker also grabbed two individual wins, posting a 2:02.09 victory in the 200 free and 53.09 winner in the 100 free.
