Lilly Center To Host Three Spring Events
WINONA LAKE — The Lilly Center has three upcoming events that will take place this spring.
Expedition: Owls will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Koinonia Nature Preserve. Join the Lilly Center and Kononia Nature Preserve to dissect real owl pellets and learn to identify a variety of owl calls. Then, hike through the 100-acre woods of the preserve while owl calls are sent out and listen for returned calls. Registration is required.
Clean Marinas will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams. Are you searching for a practical way to apply lake-care best practices? This IDEM Clean Marinas Lunch and Learn, hosted by the Lilly Center, is for Kosciusko County marinas and boaters, those who own businesses and those who enjoy the water recreationally. Learn how to reduce the environmental impacts related to boating and protect inland waterways. Sign up is required.
The 12th annual Lakes Festival is happening at Center Lake Park from May 22 to 23. At the Lakes Festival, you can fully enjoy the water at your own pace and try out water activities for free. Follow the Lilly Center’s Facebook page to stay up-to-date on the latest Lakes Festival news, including workshops and volunteer opportunities.
