Two Warsaw Students Participate In Page Day
WARSAW — Katherine Josellis and Jacob Kissling, both from Warsaw, represented Kosciusko REMC at the Indiana Electric Cooperative Page Day, hosted at the Indiana Statehouse, on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
“Serving as a page gives young people a unique opportunity to participate in state government,” said Jennifer Barger, manager of marketing and communications for KREMC. “Experiencing the process and the heart of state government brings to life many of the lessons students learn in the classroom. Seeing it firsthand takes it to the next level.”
The students participated in a tour of the Indiana Statehouse and had the opportunity to meet legislators. Pages learned how a bill becomes a law and passed their own legislation in a mock bill activity.
