Lego Crew And Teen Book Club Kick Off Soon At Milford Library
MILFORD — Lego Crew and Teen Book Club kick off Jan. 11 at Milford Public Library.
At 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, the Lego Crew will meet in the meeting room of the library. On the second Saturday of the month from May to September, children of all ages are welcome to come play with Lego blocks.
Lego building helps with children’s dexterity and fine motor skills. They can meet new friends, and see who can build the biggest tower. No registration or library card is needed to come to join in on the fun, said a news release from the Milford Public Library.
Also happening at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, all teens in grades six through 12 are invited to the Teen Book Club. This is a unique book club, where the teens get to pick out the book to read for the month and the discussion is teen-led. This book club meets on the second Saturday of every month in the teen area of the library. Bring a friend, meet new friends, share a snack and read a fun book. This is a free book club and no registration or library card is necessary to participate.
With winter upon us, bad weather is inevitable. If the local school is on a two-hour delay or closed, this does not mean the library will have the same schedule. You are welcome to call before getting out in the weather. The library will let the local stations, such as WNDU, 102.7FM or 103.5FM, know if they are going to be closing or opening late due to inclement weather.
