UPDATE: Woman Sustains Minor Injuries In Tuesday Accident
SIDNEY — A Warsaw woman was taken to the hospital for minor injuries after her vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
At 10:59 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an overturned vehicle on South SR 13, south of East CR 850S, Warsaw.
Teal M. Stamper, 29, North Park Avenue, Warsaw, was traveling south on SR 13 on icy roads while operating a black 2006 Chevrolet Traverse. Stamper said a crosswind caused her to lose control of the rear of her vehicle.
This caused Stamper’s vehicle to spin and leave the east side of the roadway, overturning into a small body of shallow water.
Stamper was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for further evaluation. She sustained minor injuries to her knee, lower leg and foot area.
Damages are estimated at up to $10,000.
Claypool Police Department, Pierceton Police Department, Sidney Fire Department and medics assisted at the scene.
