Salvation Army Angel Tree Assists 140 Families In Kosciusko County
WARSAW — The Salvation Army served 140 families through Christmas Eve with its Angel Tree program.
This year, 289 children ages 12 and under were given a gift, book, as well as a hat and gloves according to Ken Locke, Salvation Army Administrator for Kosciusko and Whitley Counties. Sixty teens were given gift cards from The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, said a news release from The Salvation Army.
The children were “adopted” by individuals from the following businesses, churches and families: DePuy Synthes, Medtronic, Warsaw Kiwanis Club, First United Methodist Church, Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Alderfer Bergen & Co., McDonald & Blakely Family, Zimmer, Trinity United Methodist Church, Leader’s Staffing, Lutheran Health Heart, Circle M Spring, Winona Lake Free Methodist Church, Dental Solutions and Cardinal Center, Inc.
2019 marks the 31st annual Angel Tree outreach that coordinates with other agencies in the county to reduce duplication of services. For more information go to www.sawarsaw.org
