Wilma I. Borkholder
Wilma I. Borkholder, 75, Nappanee, died at 1:15 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at Elkhart General Hospital after a sudden illness. Wilma was born on June 1, 1944, in Three Rivers, Mich. to Edward and Sylvia (Yoder) Hochstetler. She married Raymond E. Borkholder on May 24, 1967 in Nappanee, and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Wilma is survived by her husband Raymond of Nappanee; daughter, Sylvia (Aaron) Stutzman of Etna Green; son, Alvin Borkholder of Wakarusa; son, John (Elizabeth) Borkholder of Nappanee; daughter, Norma (Daniel) Jones of Nappanee; daughter, Ruby (Andrew) Chupp of Etna Green; daughter, Teresa (Joseph) Miller of Goshen; son, Nathan (Lawanda) Borkholder of Nappanee; daughter Wilma (David) Miller of Millersburg; son, Raymond (Christina) Borkholder of Nappanee; son, Matthew (Diane) Borkholder of New Paris; daughter, Dawn (Special friend Steward Hummel) Borkholder of Nappanee, daughter, Regina (Dylan) Nissley of Goshen, and daughter, Lisa (Myron) Miller of Nappanee; siblings Frances (Merlin) Schwartz of Nappanee; Larry (Mary Alice) Hochstetler of Nappanee; Dennis (Renee) Hochstetler of Port Charlotte, Fla.; Allen (Sharon) Hochstetler of Bourbon; Lavon Hochstetler of Plymouth; Phil (Kathryn) Hochstetler of New Paris; Kenneth (Jolene) Hochstetler of Nappanee; Scott (Rachel) Hochstetler of Nappanee; Dawn (Earl) Miller of New Paris; Teresa (Brian) Emmons of Goshen; brother-in-law Ezra Miller of New Paris; 44 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; a son Norman; grandchildren Destiny and Destin; sister Louise Miller, twin stillborn sister; brother Norman Hochstetler; brother DuWayne Hochstetler and sister-in-law Clara Hochstetler.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, and all day, Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Wilbur Miller residence, 70050 West County Line Road, Nappanee. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at the Delbert Helmuth residence 70388 West County Line Road with Bishop Lonnie Miller and Home Ministries of the Old Order Amish Church officiating. Burial will follow at Borkholder Cemetery.
