CULVER – A hot start for Wawasee fueled a 60-23 wrestling win at Culver Academy Thursday night.

Wawasee used three pins to start the night along with two forfeits to take a commanding 30-0 lead and roll to the win.

Quinton Spitzmacher and Nick Clark started the night with pins in the heavyweight rounds, Spitzmacher getting the slap at 57 seconds. Logan Stuckman continued with a 48-second pin at 106.

Wawasee later had pins from Elliot Tinsley, Tim Shortt, Cameron Zimmerman and Isaiah Faroute. The Warriors took 18 total points via forfeit.

Sam Supper, Brady Welch and Eli Pack all had pins for the Eagles and Andrew Sihkoviks scored a tech fall.

Wawasee (10-1) competes again Thursday at home against Goshen.
