Warriors Double Up At Memorial
ELKHART – Wawasee swimming picked up two wins Tuesday in Northern Lakes Conference swims at the Elkhart Aquatics Center.
WAWASEE GIRLS 122, MEMORIAL 60
Six different swimmers claimed at least one individual win as part of a 10-win showing from the Lady Warriors, which move to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the NLC.
Alexis Mishler led the way with wins in the 50 free (25.14) and backstroke (1:01.00). Lily Tyler took the 200 free (2:12.14), Kiah Farrington the 100 free (56.78), Rileigh Atwood the breaststroke (1:12.24), Ella Park in the 500 (5:44.69) and Madison McClintic in diving (185.00).
Wawasee also won all three relays.
WAWASEE BOYS 116, MEMORIAL 52
The Warriors (1-1, 1-1 NLC) swept all 12 events in a full show against the host Chargers.
Nate Kryder, Alex Troutman and Zeke Keim were all double winners, Kryder in the 100 free (52.96) and 200 free (1:58.06), Troutman in the 500 free (5:44.73) and breaststroke (1:09.12) and Keim the backstroke (1:02.85) and individual medley (2:25.81). Daegan Kingery posted the top 50 free swim (23.66), Karlson Hand won the fly (1:02.47) and Devon Kuhn was the lone diver, earning the six points with a 135.00 series.
Wawasee also captured all three relays.
Wawasee works again next Tuesday in boys and girls swims at Concord.
