WMS Craft Bazaar ‘Sold Out’ For This Year
SYRACUSE — How popular has the Wawasee Middle School PTO Christmas Craft Bazaar become? This year’s bazaar is the 30th and now there is a waiting list for vendors to have a booth.
“We completely sold out,” said Bobbi Beer of the PTO. There will be 260 booths filled with vendors from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at WMS, 9850 SR 13, south of Syracuse.
Check-in for early bird shopping begins at 7:30 a.m. at the school’s main entrance and it will cost $5 per ticket to get in early.
Vendor booths stretch from the gym to the commons and to the library, which began last year and has already reached its limit. Shoppers will find clothing, jewelry, crafts and many more items, most of which are handmade.
Parking is available at the school and also nearby Vineyard Church.
Baked Christmas cookies will be available and a coffee trailer will be parked outside serving coffee.
WMS Fellowship of Christian Athletes and cheerleaders will do package and bag checks for a donation. The WMS Recycling Club will raffle off two Adirondack chairs donated by Polywood.
Swimming club members and Wawasee High School students will provide concessions as a fundraiser.
Visitors to the craft bazaar are asked to not park on the grass.
The bazaar is a fundraiser solely to support Wawasee Middle School students and staff and is the PTO’s only fundraiser of the year. All funds raised stay within the school.
Looking ahead to next year, the potential for adding more booth spaces exists, but growth would be limited to certain areas of the school because of state fire code restrictions. No decisions have been made as of yet.
