North Webster Library To Host Preschool Story Time Thanksgiving Feast
NORTH WEBSTER — Little ones will gather for the annual Preschool Story Time Thanksgiving Feast at North Webster Community Public Library 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Children who have participated in past and present Preschool Story Time sessions are invited to sign up to bring finger food to share for a pint-sized Thanksgiving feast, said a news release from the North Webster Public Library.
Since school will not be in session that day, older siblings, as well as former Story Time participants, are welcome to attend. Advance registration is needed. To sign up, stop by the Youth Services Desk or call (574)834-7122 ext. 202.
In the Adult Services Department, Voyager Book Club participants will gather 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25 to discuss books written by John Grisham. If you are a Grisham fan, or new to this author, read one of his books and bring it to share and discuss.
Later that afternoon at 1:30 p.m. come to the library for a free movie matinee for adults. Showing is a 1972 western drama adventure based on the life of a legendary mountain man. Rated PG. Free popcorn included.
Learn what to do with the leftovers from your Thanksgiving feast at Revolving Recipe Round-Up 5:30 Tuesday, Nov. 26. Each month this group of foodies focuses on a different type or style of food.
This month’s challenge is to prepare a dish that can be made with leftovers and bring it to share and sample. Bring the recipe, too, to exchange with others. The library provides table service and coffee. If you like to cook and try new recipes, come to Revolving Recipe Round-Up the fourth Tuesday each month.
The library will close early at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 and will be closed all day, Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. The library will re-open at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.
