Police Provide Update On Thursday’s US 30 Accidents
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office released details relating to two crashes involving the same driver on Thursday, Nov. 14.
A 2003 Dodge Stratus driven by Joseph Arquette, 26, of Warren, was driving westbound on US 30. Arquette told deputies that a deer crossed his path of travel, leading Arquette to swerve, said the news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Arquette’s vehicle crossed the median and was struck by an eastbound 2005 Grand Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Michael Mort, 58, of Warsaw. Both drivers were transported to the hospital for complaints of pain.
A subsequent crash occurred when a 2008 Kia Sorento driven by Justin Penninger, 35, of Pierceton struck Arquette’s vehicle.
Arquette’s Stratus, without lights due to the collision and in an unlit area, came to rest in the left lane of the eastbound lanes.
Arquette had exited the vehicle at the time of the second collision. Penninger’s vehicle then struck an eastbound 2019 Honda Odyssey driven by Sean Alderfer, 33, of Warsaw.
