UPDATE: Two Injured In Slide Off Into Pole

MILFORD — Michelle L. Kemp, 49, South East Street, Milford, and her passenger, Lavon D. Kemp, 50, South East Street, Milford, were treated by paramedics following a one-vehicle crash on CR 1300N (Syracuse-Milford Road), at 12:48 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.
Michelle Kemp complained of pain to her left hip. Lavon Kemp complained of pain to his shoulder/upper arm.
Michelle Kemp told police her vehicle slid on the snow/slush covered road, she lost control and collided with a utility pole on the driver’s side door. Because of wires down, the Kemps were rescued from their vehicle by Milford firefighters.
The pole, which was snapped just above the vehicle, was replaced by NIPSCO crews late Monday evening, leaving some residents in Milford and west of the crash site without power until after 11 p.m.
Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
Milford Fire Department, Syracuse Police, Milford Police, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Lutheran EMS responded.
