Silver Lake Man Arrested For Allegedly Making Bomb Threats

WARSAW — A Silver Lake man was arrested for allegedly making threatening calls to Warsaw Community High School.
Mark A. Schultz, 46, Silver Lake, allegedly placed bomb threat calls directly to Warsaw Community High School on Sept. 18 and Sept. 27, said a news release from the Warsaw Police Department.
Police did not find anything associated with the threats after searching the school and outlying buildings.
On Thursday, Nov. 7, detectives spoke with Schultz. He admitted to making the calls so he could commit a robbery at Check into Cash. The first time Schultz entered Check into Cash to rob the store, he backed out. During the second bomb threat call, Schultz didn’t go through with the robbery at all.
Schultz is charged with two counts of attempted robbery, level 5 felonies; two counts of false informing and two counts of intimidation, level 6 felonies. He is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $100,000 surety bond.
