WCS Announces Community Hours For TRAC
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools recently celebrated the grand opening of the Tiger Recreation and Activity Center with students, staff and the community.
The newly constructed 59,500 square-foot student activity center will assist WCS in furthering its commitment toward promoting health and wellness by offering a new space in Warsaw for physical activity and health education, according to a news release from the school.
The TRAC will be open to the public from 6 to 7 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday. The location may be subject to sharing space with other user groups or subject to closure should a group rent out the facility. Access to the TRAC is available only when school is in session.
Courts will be set up for basketball, volleyball and pickleball. The track will also be available for runners and walkers.
The cost per session to the community is $2. Guests may purchase a $15 personal monthly membership as well as a $75 annual membership. Family plans are also available with a $5 fee per session, a $50 immediate family monthly membership or a $150 immediate family annual membership. The facility will be free to use for WCS staff and their immediate family. There will be no fee for children ages five and under. All children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
The community can access the entrance on the back side of the school next to the outdoor tennis courts to visit the TRAC. Parking is available at this entrance for guests to the TRAC.
