North Webster Library To Host 911 Dispatch Presentation Nov. 4

NORTH WEBSTER — Dialing 911 in an emergency sends first responders on the way. In Kosciusko County, those calls are answered by Kosciusko Central Dispatch. Learn about the important services provided by this county-wide communications center at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at North Webster Community Public Library.
Personnel from Kosciusko Central Dispatch will explain the scope of their work, when to call 911, when not to, what information dispatch officers need when calling and other useful information. The program is open to the public.
Try your hand at playing the mountain dulcimer at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, as Leila Dailey shares her love for this traditional folk instrument of the Appalachians. She will have several dulcimers available for participants to explore playing. The musical group Webster Dulcimers will also be there to play several tunes. If you like dulcimer music, come and learn how easy it is to play.
Enjoy a night of hilarity and on-the-fly comedy performed by Main-on-Main Comedy Improv Troupe at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. This free family-friendly show will be held in the North Webster Community Center banquet hall. The public is invited.
The kids will enjoy winning prizes at Family Bingo at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Multiple rounds are played with each round lasting until everyone Bingos and wins. Children get to choose from a variety of prizes. Since Wawasee school students have a day off from school for trimester break, bring them to the library for Bingo fun.
Foundation work has begun on North Webster Library’s new building. The initial paving of the parking lot has been laid and the retention pond has been seeded. Construction progress can be viewed on the library’s website.
