Lamppost Decorating Winners Announced In Syracuse
SYRACUSE — Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce’s annual fall lamppost decorating contest brought a festive air to the town of Syracuse, with 17 businesses participating this year.
Judging occurred Wednesday, Oct. 16, and was completed with the help of Facebook and Instagram likes. Chamber Executive Director Renea Salyer stated she posted photos of each display on both social media platforms as they went up.
Bass Audiology was awarded first place while The Gift Shop at Wawasee took second place and Fidelity National Title received third place.
“Everyone put so much creativity into their displays,” Salyer commented. “It was a hard choice to make in deciding the winners. It was nice to see what the community liked. It created fun community engagement with our local businesses. Seeing the festive decor makes me smile every time I drive down Huntington and Main streets.”
For those wanting to check out the winners and other displays, most will remain up until the Nov. 1 deadline for the removal of all items.
