Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
5:41 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, US 30, Warsaw. Driver: Holly Gibson, 29, Lakeview Drive, Warsaw. Gibson’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
1:16 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, North CR 650E, Warsaw. Driver: Bryan Skinner, 19, Barbee Road, Warsaw. Skinner’s vehicle went off the road and struck corn stalks. Damage up to $5,000.
9:54 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, Packerton Road, Warsaw. Driver: Jami A. Heck, 37, South CR 300E, North Manchester. Heck’s vehicle struck a farm wagon that was being pulled by another vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
5:23 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, Crystal Lake Road, Atwood. Driver: Crystal Lybarger, 34, Walnut Street, Mentone. Lybarger’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
1:29 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, Armstrong Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Jacklyn Hamilton, 56, Oak Street, Syracuse; and Daniel Arroyo, 16, Parker Street, Warsaw. Hamilton was stopped at a stop sign on Armstrong Road and said she did not see Arroyo’s vehicle approaching on CR 200E. The vehicles collided at the intersection when Hamilton pulled out onto CR 200E. Damage up to $25,000.
8:17 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, Old Road 30, east of South Brallier Road, Pierceton. Driver: Rebecca J. Hartman, 66, T31 Lane, Leesburg. Hartman’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
6:52 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, East CR 600S, west of South County Farm Road, Claypool. Driver: Gregory Patrick, 40, Walnut Street, Claypool. Patrick’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
10:52 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, East CR 900S, west of South CR 400E, Claypool. Driver: Dustin J. Manns, 39, North CR 450E, Warsaw. Manns said his vehicle was pulling a trailer. The axle on the trailer broke, causing the trailer to come off loose from his vehicle. The trailer collided with an REMC utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
7:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, East CR 200N, east of North CR 100E, Warsaw. Driver: Ashley M. Tharp, 30, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Tharp’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
5:01 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, North CR 175E and North Vicky Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Danikah Burchett, 23, North Vicky Lane, Warsaw; and Francisco Terrazas, 33, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Burchett said she applied her brakes as she was approaching the stop sign on Vicky Lane, but it felt like they were not working correctly. Her vehicle struck Terrazas’ vehicle, which was going south on CR 175E. Damage up to $5,000.
12:32 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, Antler Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Lucia Patino Gallegos, 28, Johnson Street, Warsaw. Patino Gallegos backed her vehicle into a mailbox. Damage up to $2,500.
11:50 a.m. Friday, Oct. 18, East CR 1050S, east of South CR 700E, Sidney. Driver: Charles W. See, 58, East US 30, Pierceton. See said he was moving his vehicle over to the side of the road so a tanker truck could get by. In doing so, the rear of See’s vehicle clipped a side mirror of another vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
9:31 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, SR 15, north of West CR 1200S, Silver Lake. Driver: Donald W. Lehman, 59, West CR 1350N, Nappanee. Lehman’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
8:03 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, SR 19, south of West CR 700S, Mentone. Driver: Karis E. Tucker, 21, SR 19, Mentone. Tucker said a deer ran into the side of her vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
10:53 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, North CR 200W, north of West CR 300N, Warsaw. Driver: Lori D. Everest, 43, West CR 500N, Warsaw. Everest said a large bird came out from the field and struck her vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
6:40 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, North CR 800W, north of West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Huntley Z. Davis, 23, South CR 275E, Warsaw. Davis’ vehicle struck a deer. Davis complained of wrist and neck pain but did not request medical attention at the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, East CR 500N, west of North CR 750E, North Webster. Driver: Jacob Morris, 24, East CR 500N, North Webster. Morris’ vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:52 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: W. M. Forbes, 82, Camelot Drive, Winona Lake. and Samantha Alexander, 21, Market Street, Warsaw. The vehicles collided in a parking lot as both were backing out of parking spaces. Damage up to $2,500.
