Gwendolyn Kay Souza
Gwendolyn Kay Souza, 74, Etna Green, passed away peacefully Oct. 12, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Gwendolyn Kay Petty to the late Oscar Andrew (Junior) and Katy Juanita (Nita) Petty, June 9, 1945, in Dallas, Texas. Gwen attended North Dallas High School.
She is survived by four daughters: Nita Sue (Ted) Harrison, of Texas; Kay Beth (Al) Kern of Indiana; Carol Lynn (Mark) Powers of Maryland; and Carrie DeAnna Souza (Michael) of Arizona. Lovingly known as Nanny, she is also survived by seventeen adoring grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is sister, Donna Sue (Mike) Mullins of Arkansas; two uncles, two nephews, one niece, and numerous cousins.
She spent time as a bookkeeper, title company clerk, and restaurant manager over the years but mostly enjoyed her time as a stay at home mother. Living her life devoted to her family, she found joy and delight in her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories that are now priceless treasures for those she held dear.
No services will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice at P.O. Box 1196 Warsaw, IN 46580.
