BREAKING: Fire Destroys Milford Home
MILFORD — No one was at home when a fire broke out at 305 E. 1150N, Milford, shortly after noon Monday, Oct. 14. According to the county website, the home is owned by Thomas and Patricia Crabtree.
Neighbors saw the fire and notified authorities. Milford Fire Department, with assistance from Plain Township and Turkey Creek Fire Territory, responded.
When firefighters arrived, the fire had broken through the front of the home and caught some of the grass on fire. Heavy smoke was also coming from eaves and vents.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire from the interior and from the roof. Fire was also found in the exterior wall after siding was removed.
Firefighters were still at the scene early this afternoon.
The homeowner arrived shortly after firefighters arrived. The animals in the home were also found safe.
