Salazar Among Five Set For HOF Induction
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester University M Association will add four new members to its Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 12.
This year’s Hall of Fame class includes three-time All-American wrestler Jamie Salazar, a Wawasee graduate who is currently coaching wrestling and football at his alma mater. Also on the induction list are men’s basketball standout Chad Berry, women’s basketball standout and HCAC Athlete of the Decade Kelley Meiklejohn, and school record holder in track and field and cross country Molly (Sanders) Kurtz.
Joining the four inductees will also be the 2019 Claude Wolfe Coach of the Year recipient, legendary Indiana high school baseball coach Dick Siler.
The five honorees will be recognized at halftime of the Manchester versus Mount St. Joseph football game on Oct. 12. Kickoff for the game is set for 1:30 p.m. Following the football game, the honorees will be honored at the annual induction ceremony in the Jo Young Switzer Center beginning at 5 p.m.
