Panthers Continue Torrid Pace
WALKERTON – Andre DeFreitas went off on John Glenn as the NorthWood Panthers continued to roll Monday night.
DeFreitas had five goals as NorthWood dismantled Glenn 8-0 in boys soccer. DeFreitas added two assists in a mega night and did his damage on just seven shots on target. Jerson Sanchez added a pair of goals and had 13 shots in the game. Kayden Newcomer had the other goal for NorthWood, which fired 31 shots in the game and 25 were on target.
Andrew Graber stopped all five of Glenn’s shots to pick up the shutout.
NorthWood, which is now 12-2 on the season and ranked No. 10 in the latest state poll for Class 2-A, picked up its sixth shutout of the season.
The Panthers will host Plymouth Tuesday night at Wellfield Park.
