Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:14 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2545 Silveus Crossing, Warsaw. Drivers: Hannah Zarse, 18, CR 675N, Leesburg; and Luis Esqueda, 18, Canal Street, Leesburg. Zarse was backing her vehicle out of a parking spot and struck Esqueda’s vehicle. Damages up to $5,000.
5:56 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, East Smith Street and South Park Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Brooklyn Fitzgerald, 16, Blackberry Trail, Warsaw; and Terry Witzky, 66, Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Fitzgerald’s vehicle rear-ended Witzky’s vehicle which was slowing for traffic. Damages up to $5,000.
5:44 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, East Center Street, east of North Colfax Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Amanda Bennington, 29, Maye Street, Warsaw; Ramakrishna Bhagavatula, 32, Orchard Drive, Warsaw; and Adryce Wong, 52, Greenleaf Avenue, Chicago. Bennington’s vehicle rear-ended Bhagavatula’s vehicle, causing Bhagavatula’s vehicle to rear-end Wong’s vehicle. Damages up to $50,000.
2:26 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2606 Shelden St., Warsaw. Drivers: Keegan Quintero, 23, Lake Street, Warsaw; and Malachi Shock, 21, Jefferson Street, Silver Lake. Quintero was backing his vehicle out of a parking spot and struck Shock’s vehicle. Quintero did not have insurance on his vehicle and Shock’s license plate on his vehicle was expired. Damages up to $5,000.
10:36 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, South Lake Street, south of West Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Patricia Vanness, 67, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw; and Christanne Hampton, 48, Woodfield trail, Warsaw. Vanness’ vehicle which was traveling eastbound on Market Street and Hampton’s vehicle which was traveling northbound on Lake Street both entered the intersection at the same time, colliding. Vanness was transported from the scene with complaints of chest pain. Damages up to $25,000.
