Altrusa Club members have been coordinating the annual Bingo for Beaman Home during Domestic Violence Month each year. Club members welcomed Beaman Home’s Executive Director Jennifer Hayes to their Sept. 5 meeting. Hayes shared some success stories and explained that the Beaman Home has a full house right now. In addition, 65 clients per week are meeting with their mental health counselors as part of their outreach services, which include clients from not only Kosciusko County, but Marshall and Fulton Counties. Their services are now also available in Spanish. Federal funding for many organizations, including Beaman Home, are being cut over the next two years. The impact on Beaman Home is about $125,000 annually.
