SILVER LAKE — A golf cart incident claimed the life of Cynthia Owens, 65, Silver Lake, Saturday afternoon.
Emergency personnel were called to CR 100W, south of CR 1200S, southeast of Silver Lake at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7. The caller reported an unresponsive female next to a golf cart.
The initial arriving law enforcement and fire department units attempted to resuscitate Owens, who was lying in the ditch. Owens was determined to be the sole occupant of the golf cart. The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Fatal Team and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
Parkview EMS, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Silver Lake Fire Department, Claypool Police Department and Indiana State Police responded to the scene. Parkview Samaritan Air Ambulance also responded.
