Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
4:32 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, West Clearwater Drive, east of North Valley Lane, Warsaw. Police said a 2010 Ford Escape registered to Robin S. Clark-Stone, North Colfax Street, Warsaw, was driven south and west on Clearwater Drive, then off the roadway and into a utility pole. The vehicle was abandoned by two occupants. Damage up to $10,000.
4:03 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, West CR 800N and North CR 425W, Leesburg. Driver: Haiden A. Evans, 22, West CR 825N, Leesburg. Evans told police she was driving her vehicle east on CR 800N when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, South SR 15 and West CR 200S, Warsaw. Drivers: Devin H. Robinson, 20, North Lake Street, Warsaw; Elizabeth M. Lewis, 16, South CR 400W, Claypool; Kristen M. Holladay, West CR 950S, Silver Lake. Police said all three vehicles were being driven north on SR 15 when Holladay stopped at the CR 200S light. Lewis slowed her vehicle and police say Robinson did not notice the vehicles stopping or slowing, causing him to drive his vehicle into the rear of Lewis’ vehicle, which in turn collided with the rear of Holladay’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Claypool
Officers from the Claypool Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:37 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, South Packerton Road, south of East CR 550S, Claypool. Driver: Tamra J. Wise, 60, East CR 550S, Warsaw. Wise told police she was driving her vehicle north on Packerton Road when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers from the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:01 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, South SR 13, Pierceton. Driver: Hector Hernandez, 50, Autumn Lake Place, Fort Wayne. Hernandez told police he was backing his vehicle out of a parking space and backed it into a parked trailer he had not previously seen. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:09 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, Meijer Drive and US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Jillian L. Douglas, 34, East Collins Street, Columbia City; Kelsie R. Reinig, 28, East 3rd Street, Hartford City. Douglas told police she was driving her vehicle north on Meijer Drive when a box truck in front of her stopped and activated flashers. She said she backed her vehicle up and it collided with the vehicle driven by Reinig. Damage up to $5,000.
2:19 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, West Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Betsy A. Voss, 62, North Harrison Street, Warsaw; Sebastian Gonzalez, 38, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Voss told police she was backing her vehicle out of a parking space and backed it into Gonzalez’s vehicle she had not previously seen. Damage up to $1,000.
11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Cletus H. Leverett, North CR 250E, Warsaw, told police his vehicle was damaged on Aug. 26, while parked in the Walmart parking lot. Damage up to $2,500.
