LEESBURG – The Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County will be holding their annual Steve Dodds charity golf event on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club. Teams can choose to play at either 8 a.m. or 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided for all participants.
This golf event is done as a four player scramble. The cost is $500 per team. The event has no scheduled rain date.
Luke Baker, CCF golf chairman, has lined up a variety of sponsors and prizes for the event. Prizes will be presented to winners in the ladies’ teams, mixed teams and men’s teams for both the morning and afternoon rounds. All par 3 holes have hole-in-one sponsors.
Morning and afternoon players will both have the option to participate in a putting contest and a par 3 closest to the hole contest for an additional fee. There will also be proximity and long drive contests. Players are given the option to purchase mulligans, golf grenades and team skins in order to give their team an extra boost.
Registration forms and sponsor forms can be found on the website at www.cancercarefundkc.org. Individuals can call the K21 Health Foundation at (574) 269-5188 or email Baker at [email protected] for more information.
Money raised from the CCF charity golf event will be spent to help area cancer patients financially with expenses such as rent, insurance, gas cards and more.
