North Pointe Closed Beginning Monday; Work On US 30 Begins Tuesday
WARSAW — There are two major road projects beginning this week in Warsaw.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 19, North Pointe Drive will be closed for reconstruction. The work zone will stretch from Mariners Drive to Husky Trail.
North Pointe Drive will only be accessible from Mariners Drive. Traffic will not be allowed to access North Pointe Drive from Husky Trail.
This work is expected to be completed in November, according to the city.
This project will include new underground infrastructure, curbs, sidewalks and pedestrian-friendly customization.
On Tuesday, the Indiana Department of Transportation will begin working on the first of several projects on US 30. The first part will involve intersection improvements to Anchorage Road.
The work will require varying lane closures and restrictions. The city encourages residents to plan additional travel time or avoid the area.
Work at the intersection involves additional lanes, which is intended to improve traffic flow.
That project is expected to conclude by about Sept. 5, the city said.
