Warsaw Man Arrested For Allegedly Battering Woman
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested after allegedly battering a woman.
Robert Edwin Gross, 50, 747 E. Main St., Warsaw, is being charged with strangulation and domestic battery with moderate bodily injury, level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Feb. 16, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department went to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office to discuss a domestic abuse incident.
According to court documents, the officer talked with the victim, who said she went home and saw that Gross had been smoking spice in her residence. Later that evening, she saw Gross preparing to smoke spice again and told him she didn’t want him smoking in her house.
The victim said Gross became very upset and pushed her against a wall. He then used his fist to apply pressure to her throat. After the woman was able to get Gross’s fist off her throat, Gross allegedly head-butted the woman in the face, causing a bruise on her lip and cheek.
Gross was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Aug. 10, with a $6,000 surety and cash bond.
