Dance Through The Decades At Tippy Dance Hall July 27
NORTH WEBSTER — Dig out those peace signs and poodle skirts, bellbottoms and bow ties because it’s Mod, it’s Groovy and it’s Cool, Daddio! Get on your dancing shoes and take a walk down memory lane at the historic Tippy Gardens Ballroom, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 27.
Yes, the Tippy Dance Hall. For over 100 years, this location featuring an outdoor stage and dance floor has hosted musical artists such as Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, REO Speedwagon and The Byrds.
For one night only guests are invited to join The Watershed Foundation and support clean lakes as we Dance Through the Decades.
Adult Individual Tickets are $75 and include a catered meal and dessert. Want to bring the whole gang? A limited number of reserved tables for eight adult guests are available for $750. These tables include eight dinners and eight drink tickets.
The good times will rock n’ roll all night long, beginning at 6:30 p.m. when the doors open with cocktails and appetizers. Get your dancing feet loosened up as DJ Dave Baumgartner plays everyone’s favorites from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
After dinner, Leisure Machine, a high energy dance and rock cover band from Metro Detroit takes the stage until 11 p.m.
TWF Executive Director Lyn Crighton says “The Dance Hall has been scrubbed and painted; it’s like new for this event! We’re excited to see people’s 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s outfits, and to have everyone come together for a fun night to support our lakes.”
All sorts of activities including costume and hula hoop contests, 50/50 drawing, and raffle prizes will be held throughout the night!
