Elusive Child Molesting Suspect Booked Into County Jail
FORT WAYNE — A Fort Wayne man wanted in connection with an alleged child molestation in May has been booked in the Kosciusko County Jail.
Jamarcus Antione Eldridge, 33, 6105 Bunt Drive, Fort Wayne, is charged with child molesting, a level 4 felony. He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail Thursday, July 18, on $25,250 surety and cash bond.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Eldridge was arrested on a warrant in the case on May 22 and booked at the county jail by Warsaw police. At the time of the arrest, there was no mention of bond, but Eldridge was listed as wanted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office the following week.
Warsaw police reported that the Department of Child Services collaborated on the case and reported that a complaint was filed by a girl younger than 14 years old. In that complaint, it was alleged that Eldridge repeatedly, on multiple occasions, touched the girl in an inappropriate way. Police reported interviewing Eldridge, who denied the allegations.
Police added that Eldridge is also wanted in Fort Wayne and Oklahoma for having sex with minors and that photos were observed on his phone of him appearing to smoke marijuana. There was evidence, according to police, on Eldridge’s phone involving firearms, even though police say he is a convicted felon and a photo was located by police on his social media page that appeared to show a teenager who was nude, bound and gagged.
