Dyrell Aaron Kreis

KOSCIUSKO — A Claypool man was arrested after allegedly battering a woman.

Dyrell Aaron Kreis, 39, 3211 W. CR 700S, Claypool, is being charged with domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and domestic battery with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.

On June 27, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office visited a residence in regards to a domestic battery complaint. The officer spoke with a woman who said a man, identified as Kreis, had battered her.

According to court documents, the woman said she and Kreis had gotten into an argument and that it became physical when Kreis grabbed her hair and pulled her up the stairs. The officer saw a red mark on the woman’s back.

He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on July 14, with a $5,750 surety and cash bond.

Kreis was previously convicted of domestic battery in Kosciusko County in 2014.
