Public Invited To Help With Bricklaying At Rotary Park
WARSAW — The Warsaw Rotary Club is inviting the public to help with the next step in establishing Warsaw Rotary Park on the city’s west side.
Located at the corner of West Market and West Center streets, the future park will celebrate the Warsaw Rotary Club’s 100th anniversary and their partnership with the city of Warsaw.
Rotary has raised nearly $100,000 for the park through local partnerships and the sale of memorial bricks. The bricks will be put in around the cog monument at the front of the park on Tuesday.
The club asks anyone interested in assisting with the bricklaying to join them anytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 16. Club leaders say it’s a chance for Warsaw residents to get involved in the city’s history by helping to build a park that will be used for years to come.
Warsaw Rotary Club expects to install approximately 350 square feet of bricks on Tuesday.
Volunteers are asked to bring water and dress in comfortable clothing. The equipment needed for the bricklaying will be provided for volunteers to use.
