Combined Community Services Executive Director Resigns
WARSAW — The board of directors of Combined Community Services announced today that its executive director, Stephen Possell, has resigned effective July 12.
“We announce Stephen’s resignation with a mix of sadness and gratitude,” said Abbe Muta, board chair. “Since 2010, he has played a critical role in the development and success of the organization, and while we will miss his leadership we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”
During his time at CCS, Possell was instrumental in obtaining funding for the organization’s new location at 1195 Mariners Drive in Warsaw. He established new partnerships with local educational institutions, clubs and organizations while maintaining CCS’s existing partnerships in the community. Collaboration with supporters helped CCS move more people out of poverty and into self-sufficiency. Possess joined CCS in 2010.
“CCS continues to be the central clearinghouse for many services in the community, and that will continue with the strong leadership of our staff and board of directors,” Muta said.
Combined Community Services has begun the selection process for a new executive director by forming a search committee comprised of board members and staff. Interested applicants can find additional information at the Combined Community Services website.
