No One Home When Fire Breaks Out At Residence
ROCHESTER — No one was home when a fire was discovered at 6085 Cedar Lane, Rochester, early Tuesday, June 25. The cause is being investigated by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security Fire Marshals, Aubbeenaubbee Township Fire department with assistance from the Indiana State Police and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
Fulton County 911 was notified of a fully engulfed house fire at 3 a.m. Tuesday. When Fulton County deputies arrived, the house was fully engulfed and the officers observed two vehicles in the garage. However, officers were not able to make entry to see if someone was inside.
The fire was extinguished at approximately 7 a.m. by Aubbeenaubbee Township Fire Department, assisted by Kewanna/Union Township Fire Department and Rochester Fire Department.
Officials eventually made contact with the homeowners, who were out of state. No one was located in the residence.
