Fraudulent Purchases Lead To Arrest
KOSCIUSKO — A female is facing charges after allegedly making fraudulent purchases totaling $1,195.61.
Casey Marie Grubbs, 21, with addresses on file as both 88 EMS B33A Lane, Warsaw; and 634 S. 9th St., Richmond, is being charged with fraud and theft, both level 6 felonies.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on March 18, an officer from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of fraud.
The officer met with a male who advised that Grubbs had obtained his credit card information from his computer and used the information to send herself money. The male provided the officer with a printout referencing fraudulent charges on his credit card.
The charges started on Jan. 27 and went through Feb. 19, totaling $1,195.61. The male also provided a printout of a text message conversation in which Grubbs admitted to being the person committing the fraudulent charges with the male’s credit card information.
Grubbs was booked at the Kosciusko County Jail June 20 on a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
