Summer Reading Program Underway At Bell Memorial Public Library
MENTONE — Bell Memorial Public Library’s 2019 Summer Reading Program is currently underway and there’s still time to sign up. This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories.”
The program will run from June 3 -12. There are programs for all age groups. Prizes will be awarded for each age group. Activities planned include family movie on Wednesdays and crafts on Thursdays for kids and teens/young adults (some teen crafts are planned for Tuesdays and sign up is requested for participation in craft activities). Looking for something to keep the family entertained during the week? Join Bell Memorial Public Library on Wednesdays for family movies. This week, they will be showing “Space Jam” on Wednesday, June 19. Movie starts at 1 pm. Popcorn will be provided.
Teen Book Club will take place from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, June 18. Contact Elyza at (574) 353-7234 if interested in participating.
Just a reminder that Bell Memorial Public Library will be closed on Sundays beginning June 2. They will remain closed on Sundays during the summer and re-open after Labor Day.
Parents, bring the little ones in this week for the Kids’ SRP activity. Kids can make moon sand at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 20.

A book sale is happening now in the main lobby. Prices are as follows: 25 cents, hardback (including E hardbacks) or five for $1.00; 10 cents paperbacks (including trade paperbacks (taller paperbacks); 50 cents for audiobooks; and 25 cents for music CDs. DVDs as marked, some are $1.00 some are $3.00
