Man Allegedly Attacks McDonald’s Manager Over Sauce
KOSCIUSKO — A North Manchester man was arrested for allegedly assaulting the female manager of a local McDonald’s after being told the restaurant did not have the sauce he requested.
Talbot Neal McKee, 22, 201 S. 1st St., North Manchester, is being charged with resisting law enforcement, a level 6 felony; intimidation, a level 6 felony; and battery, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on June 4, officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a McDonalds in Kosciusko County in reference to an intimidation threat made toward staff.
Upon arrival, police observed a male subject, later identified as McKee, physically batter the female McDonald’s manager. Four police officers approached McKee and ordered him to let go of the female.
When McKee refused, one of the officers began to physically engage McKee.
McKee continued to resist law enforcement officers, kicking his legs and moving his arms. McKee kicked one of the officers multiple times and bit another officer. McKee also threatened to kill one of the officers during the altercation.
A WPD officer administered pepper spray to McKee after numerous warnings. Police were then able to take control of McKee and place him under arrest.
Officers spoke with the female manager, who stated that McKee had become disorderly in McDonald’s after requesting a sauce the restaurant did not have. She said McKee grabbed her arm and pulled, causing a significant amount of pain.
She further stated that McKee threatened to kill her during the altercation.
McKee was booked June 5 on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
