Lincoln Elementary School Names Ronnie Shoemaker Honorees
WARSAW — Three students at Lincoln Elementary have been honored with the Ronnie Shoemaker Award.
Recipients this year are sixth-grader Chris Lewis, fifth-grader Elizabeth Puckett, and sixth-grader Nate Carlin, according to a news release.
The Ronnie Shoemaker Award was started in 2003 by Christina Teevan, a former Lincoln teacher, and Ron Shoemaker to honor and praise the hard work, determination and perseverance of students in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades at Lincoln Elementary School.
School is not always easy and this award is for those students who encounter obstacles but persevere, the news release said.
The Lincoln PTO supports the award.
