Jason Wayne Craig
Jason Wayne Craig, 51, 3521 Lake City Highway, No. 209, Warsaw, is being charged with residential entry, a level 6 felony; domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On April 14, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic battery report. A victim advised that she was laying in bed with her son when a male subject, identified as Craig, climbed through the bedroom window, knocking items over and began arguing with her.
The victim told the officer that Craig pulled her hair and struck her in the face with a closed fist. The officer observed a large bruise on the right side of the victim’s face and dried blood around her lips. Craig does not live at the residence and did not have consent to enter the residence.
The officer spoke with Craig, who admitted that he climbed through the window because the victim would not answer the door. Craig further admitted that the two argued but said he did not know if he had hit her.
Craig was arrested on April 14 and is scheduled to appear for his initial hearing on May 16.
