Warsaw Man Arrested For Drug Charges After Overdose
KOSCIUSKO — A Warsaw man was arrested for drug charges after officers responded to an overdose.
Nathan R. LeCount, 33, 7331 W. Lutes Drive, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, a level 5 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On March 29, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an overdose at a residence.
A female subject at the scene said a male, identified as LeCount, was laying on the bedroom floor and was having trouble breathing. According to the affidavit of probable cause, the female said a minor was in the living room at the time of the overdose.
Emergency medical personnel arrived and transported LeCount to Kosciusko Community Hospital. In the area where LeCount was laying, the officer saw a plastic bag containing a white residue that tested positive for methamphetamine. The officer also saw a box containing seven hypodermic syringes that appeared to have been used and a glass smoking device that tested positive for methamphetamine.
LeCount admitted he used a needle to inject what he thought was heroin. He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on April 12, with a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
