WARSAW 172, NORTHRIDGE 194, MISHAWAKA MARIAN 204
Warsaw made its season debut Tuesday at Elcona with a double win over a pair of quality programs.
The Tigers had freshman Cal Hoskins pace the team with a 40 in what would be a consistent effort. Chase Byron, the only varsity returner for the Tigers, shot a 43, followed by Jack Yeager at 44 and Zach LaLonde at 45. Tucker Carlile had the fifth score for Warsaw with a 49.
Warsaw’s JV carded a 193 to top Marian and Ridge, which posted 223 and 227. Ben Brander scored a 44 to lead the Tigers, closely followed by Seth Hildebrand at 45. Lewis Turley had a 51, Mason Whitaker a 52 and Will Hall a 52.
The non-conference win over Ridge and the triumph over Marian put Warsaw at 2-0 for the season, with its next dual Thursday at Rozella against Fort Wayne Canterbury.
